We are looking for a Graduate Naval Architect who is ready to go beyond conventional boundaries and contribute to the AI-enabled future of maritime innovation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with a broad understanding of naval architecture and a strong interest in computational design. The ideal candidate is adaptable, curious, and eager to work across a range of vessel types—including cargo ships, offshore vessels, workboats, and leisure craft—while exploring how emerging technologies can transform the field.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to concept and early-stage vessel design across multiple vessel classes
Collaborate on the development of next-generation AI-powered design tools
Apply engineering judgement to solve design challenges and evaluate performance
Support design workflows, incorporating regulatory and classification considerations
Work in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic startup environment
Requirements
Education
Degree in Naval Architecture or a closely related field
Experience
A working knowledge of all aspects of naval architecture, including ship systems and shipyard processes
Familiarity with a range of vessel types and design approaches
Software Proficiency
Strong experience in ship hydrodynamics, particularly with OpenFOAM.
Knowledge of machine/deep learning methods and programming experience, especially in Python, is highly desirable.
Regulatory Knowledge
Understanding of ship classification rules, maritime regulations, and industry standards
Skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary, multilingual teams
